The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) recognized 22 adult care homes in Kansas yesterday for their achievements in providing and sustaining person-centered care for residents. Plaques were presented to each facility by Deputy Secretary Scott Brunner. "The hard work and commitment to the PEAK program these facilities and their staff have demonstrated illustrate the kind of success that can be achieved by all Kansas adult care facilities," Brunner said. "They serve as an example of how positive culture change can progressively impact the way facilities care for their residents in an environment that enhances the quality of life for our seniors.” There are currently 318 nursing facilities in Kansas and 134 are enrolled in the PEAK Program.

The Shepherd's Center was recognized for their work in sustaining person-center care in fiscal year 2023.
